So how is everyone elses 05 handling the heat so far? I live in Sac, CA and it has been in the 100-110 degree range off and on the past 3 weeks. So far I have to say she's been doing ok. I remember reading a post that said something about the car being tested in the cold air of Michigan and the pony would have trouble in the summer.

temp gauge stays constant. it has been over 100 for the last few days. i have a black/black GT. i put a thermometer on the passenger floor board, near the dash, and it said interior temp was 125!!! that was not on the hot leather seat either.....i also noticed that it takes the a/c a long time to catch up to the temps. it takes about 10 mins. to feel cooler when its that hot. but when it is 90, it blows cool quickly.... no problems with the engine overheating or even getting hot!

The v6 drives awsome in heat. 110 most of the time. Only problems I have is that it is so damm hot when I get in the car and the A/C never cools down for my short trips that I make

Oh well

does anyone here experience a lag when they step on the gas and the a.c is on? ive noticed sometimes when the a.c is on and i get on it a bit the car hesitates than after a sec or two will respond...anyone else experience this? thanks

Sometimes you might be "getting on it" right as the A/C compressor is kicking on or cycling. A/C being on in general is somewhat like having not enough memory in your computer. You want it to process at it's maximum potential while it's already under heavy load. Better to temporarily turn it (A/C) off under such conditions. Not too many drag races won at the track with A/C on.

Ford, GM and Chrysler all have hot weather test facilities in AZ.
Ford also has a facility in FL.
Most of the manufacturers also have cold weather test facilities in Minnesota and Canada.

Whomever said that the Mustang would not handle heat because it is tested in Michigan is an uninformed idiot. :bang:
