That's not true either. It's for dampening side to side horizontal movement. A lot of people say that once you do control arms you can ditch them, but some find that even then they get wheel-hop with the quads missing.

^^^Got me thinking... Do we have a "Mustang Myths" thread? I'd like proof on some of these topics. Especially the EGR. I've read jrichker's write up on that and found it very informative.

Are there any other write ups? Dyno charts for egr? ACT? Quad shock et's?

Or the convertible header bar - it seals against the top part of the windshield and is horribly designed?

The stock T-5 tranny that was rated at 300 ft-lbs of torque when the 5.0L motor was generating that much?

That's how they sold the cars so cheap back then. Almost anyone could afford a mustang back then.

I agree about the header bar. My first 2 mustangs were verts. And the t-5 was a joke.

Mine broke when I was doing something, and it wouldn't close, I got pissed that my perfect ash tray door broke and I didn't want to be like all you losers so I got some long needle nose pliers and bent that damn spring back in, now it works perfectly again, IDK whay you guys have such trouble with it, i didn't even take out my center console to fix it...









Now fixing ash tray doors, $5 for 5 min. of my time lol

if the doors still intacked.. you can just.. pop a hole and use a machine screw and nut.. fixed many doors like that

the guy before me on my 93 did an ashtray door delete on it, so i had to make one out of stainless, but it looked all cool caues i did the whole "turning" effect on it.

I always wondered why I never have trouble with mine beast. I thought the curse of the bad ashtray applied to 4-eyes as well. *sits back with a cold one and laughs at all the suckers with broken ashtrays*
