Mustang SOS, anyone living close to York PA?????

A good friend of mine has been trying to find a special way to celebrate his wife's 40th birthday next month and has decided to do it with a 66' Mustang convertible. I've been helping him search and have looked at some local cars for him but his best candidate to date is located in York PA. Before we commit to driving 8 hours or splurging for airfare to check it out in person I am trying to find someone local who can maybe give it a quick look for us first and make sure it's worth our time or not, nothing fancy just a general tire kicking.

If anyone is available and willing please email me and I'll send you all the pics and info I have on it to date and we’ll take it from there.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Pakrat,

It was a really nice day here for the ride over, spent some quality time with Dad, and I got to spent time with that 66 vert. Not exactly a bad way to spend 3 or 4 hours.

If anyone ever needs that kind of help in my area I am happy to help.

Oh yeah I really liked that inspection checklist. I wish I would have had it when I was shopping for my classic.

Keep me informed on the decision made, whether he buys it or not.

Yeah, I hear ya. Checking out cars is one of those favors that I don't consider really painstaking either, I'm always up for looking or wrench turning when someone needs a hand.

Glad you found the list helpful, when I first started searching and was looking at 3 or 4 cars a day I just had to find a way to not only hit all the key points but keep track of what the heck car was what, I started to mix up all the issues in my head and chicken scratch's on napkins really only works with 1 or 2 candidates. it's been years but I'm glad it got some use again.
