For lake crawfish, they are extremely well fed.

I did take a trail cam with me and stuck it deep in the woods. Let’s see if I get some canned bears.

Those are maine lobsters. Steamed them over the campfire. $5-6/lb up here

Back to work. Stripping the 93 upper.

Going to try to get back on the welder again later this afternoon to weld in the front apron and sway bar bracket

Sway bar bracket and apron back on. Not the prettiest welds but they’ll hold

Rear apron is gonna be a pita. Also need to weld on the frame rail stitch piece at the joint

I need to grind some of my welds down a tad but I’ll do that at the end. I’m just trying to finish up with the welder.

So what is the plan for refinishing? Are you going to base clear it, or just color coat more like it came from the factory?

Gonna weld up some of the holes in the towers and aprons, smooth, prime and then prob color coat. I’m not going for a show car look, so I’m not going to go too crazy

Didn’t weld it in yet, but got the last apron piece shaped up to the SN95 rail, cleaned up and ready to weld in.

Damn near done now. After this final piece, I’ll start filling and grinding holes in the bay and knocking down some of those high welds. Then I’ll need to hit all the light surface rust areas. Should start moving quickly now.

I’m not filling every hole. I still am running the battery up front, stock airbox and plan on running a coil cover. So don’t expect a extensive hole finished job here.

What brand/type body filler would you recommend here for smoothing out some of the areas I fill/grind?

I used Evercoat Rage filler the last few times I’ve done some body work, been really happy with it

The only problem that I see is that you are running out of room to store more wheels. You need to put up those intakes for display next.

Looks nice and centered over the cap.
Have a 4"(or?) ring rolled out of the same size tubing and weld it in place over the cap.

I’ll have to wait til everything is bolted down tight, but I’m thinking of something along those lines. I want to keep the STB so I’ll have to modify it somehow.
