Our 4 year old daughter was looking at a Hot Wheels car she found in her room, and I told her it's a Mustang. (It was a Mach 1).

She then tells me:

"Mustangs look a little like beavers. But they don't. "

Anyone else notice the resemblance?

Didn't think so.

Where do they get these ideas??? LOL

At least she's thinking about it. :nice:

My 2 1/2-y.o. son has a lot of toy cars, and while he does know which one is a Camaro, and a Chevelle, his standard answer when you ask him one that he does not know is that it's a Mustang. I guess he's starting to develop that sense that no other cars really matter. :D

Having a baby blue convertible just three months after the introduction of the 64 1/2 model, I am not about to touch a thread that mentions Mustang and Beaver in the same topic.

Just let me say those were fun times!

Sorry the younger members did not live during the "Drive-In" Movie era.

i was thinking the same thing actually and i'm quite a fan of that particular mental image LOL.

but to be honest, i think that a 70 cougar has more in common with a beaver than a mustang. that big ol' bucktooth/beaver tooth grille get's you every time you work under the hood

My seventh best memory in this vein involves me only incidentally. I'm sitting on the patio at a bar in Austin have what was no doubt a high-minded discussion, when a college couple I don't know climbed in the back of my '67 convertible. After the initial shock at their public friendliness and wanton disregard for private property, I went over and asked if they'd like me to put on some mood music. Good times.

My best memories are not for public consumption.
