I ordered a Redfire Mustang GT 4 weeks ago. They dealer told me it should take 4-6 weeks, but 6-8 weeks at the most. I called the dealer today and he told me he didn't even recieve a VIN yet. Then he told me that ford is mainly producing their V6 mustangs. Is this true. Is my GT being left in the dust to produce a V6. I thought they're making their money on the GT's, not the V6. What's going on here?

since they have run out of the gt parts they are trying to get the v6 done then they should have the parts to make the gt

It might be somewhat true. I think I heard that V6's account for 60% of thier Mustang sales. I live in a city of about 200,000 and have yet to see a GT on the road. Nothing but a bunch of V6ers.

I think this is a little fib! I have ordered almost 10 mustangs in the past month, the last being the Wed. before Thanksgiving, and that car already has a build date of the the 13th of Dec. One thing that could be holding you up is the IUP, unfortunately this item is in extreme demand and is lacking supply. My opinion is that it should have only been available on premium V6s and not base V6's, because the dealers are ordering almost every unit with this.
