Very similar to my brothers set up for his one day to be strip car.
That is my brother's set up. It's not driving yet though, so.....I've seen where a person runs a square tube, or round tube across the distance between frame rails up against the trunk/hatch floor, and makes upper coil over mounts off it. Then relocates the lower mounts on the axle more inboard. Seems you may have some issues with tail pipe clearance with this approach, and I cant help but wonder how handling is affected with the coilovers being moved inside the frame rails... I'll be watching this to see who chimes in with what kind of personal experience and the results of it. Now I am curious.

I just realized @awilli93coupe has a thread in progress about this, and appears to be doing what I posted above. Sorry for the redundancy. More just curious if anyone has been able to make it work decent on a street set up. Maybe angling the coilovers, so the lower mounting points are further outward on the axle tubes? Clearly I dont know crap about custom suspension! Maybe throw a panhard set up behind it, and presto?
I've got mounts welded up on my differential already. just didn't think I wanted to tackle the uppers till later. Then all this comes along and, here I go...
Almost certainly has to handle like A$$.
I rode in a car with HIGH dollar coilovers on the street and it wasn't much different to me that is.. They are double adjustable. Can't remember specs or brand but do remember high price

I am talking more about cornering, or auto crossing. I dont see where coilovers that far inboard could handle well with side to side motion, unless mounted at an angle to better handle the side to side weight transfer.
