I am, I'm keeping the drums in the rear for now. Up front I'm just going to put in SVO calipers just to have some improvement over the old ones. I'll upgrade most definitely later as money opens back up. I might have done it sooner, you see, but now I have to buy some coil overs for the rear end.

The IRS comes with Cobra rear disks... just sayin.

@Davedacarpainter

Is this the pic you are looking for? I doubt it makes a difference but mine is an 88.

yes, thank you. There really isn't too much to fill up there. Anybody got suggestions concerning the radiator support?

I love an IRS, but I'll be a solid axle baby myself. Thanks for that one though. Who knows, maybe when I install that FRPP cobra jet crate engine.

You won't really have to talk me into buying those anyhow. When I was getting my panels for the engine bay I looked at all of Scott's panels. I probably will go with some sort of radiator cover. (Again, painted the same color as the gt stripe)
BTW, Scott Rod has great customer service, nice group of people.

Ah well...off to the garage again. I will be mudding the engine bay today. I'll see how much I can get done before I decide what else I can get done.
I'll primer it sometime this week.
I need to pull the front suspension out and grind the back of the welds down a little bit, then I'll POR 15 the back side.
I also need to POR 15 the undercarriage before I start to block the body down for repaint.
I'll post pictures as I can today.

I kind of like the way the green bondo goes with the red car!
That's it for me today, I told my daughter I would make her chocolate chip pancakes this morning. Anybody else up for some?

I need to do that when my engine comes out for my bottom end upgrade. Good stuff. Forgive me, you used scott rod or lmr panels?

Scott's. They were in a lot better condition when I got them! I slipped and bent the one on the driver's side yesterday. I have one more dent to fix on the side of it, I just ran out of time today. At least I have mud on them.
I like mud work, it's a lot like sculpting. YOU make the difference on what it looks like. Here's where my anal tendencies come in handy.
Look back in the thread for the panels though. They were just beautiful when they got to me.
I went with Scott's stuff because my brother had used the factory looking ones on one of his mustangs and said it took a bunch of straightening. How much a bunch is on those little panels is subjective though, I guess.
I'll definitely be using his panels again, at least for the radiator support for sure.
I think I saw on LMR where they were selling some of Scott's products, I might be mistaken.
BTW, the panels only took a minor amount of trimming to be fitted.

Forging out your bottom end? What are you putting in it?

Well i only have three projects going, but the plan with the green turbo car is to a: get the tune hammered out where it behaves like it's supposed to. ... Then b: later a dart block, 363 stroker with forged internals and more boost. I believe I'm going to do the truck next, but big power for the turbo car is on the bucket list.

Don't forget your friends car! lol
Someday, in the far future I would like a Dart block. I went with plain hypereutectic pistons and rods in my motor, I figured what's the point of spending the extra money if the block can't take it.
What're you doing about the tune? Going crazy with a whole new computer?

What do you think of FRPP's new boss 302 block? Is it as good as something like Dart's?

I figured you had seen those before, hell by the time you get to needing them you will be able to fab em up yourself
