Well, I'm off to put work clothes on and get after Doby.

Today, probably first will involve put her back up on jack stands in the rear and taking off the wheels. Then hooping into the engine bay to begin blocking out the primer.

Once it's late enough to make noise, I'll start grinding off the undercoating in the rear tub area. I'll probably pull off a couple things too, quad shocks frame mounts come to mind...

Yeah buddy! I'm really not against 335's on this. There are two issues that I know of that I would have to deal with to do that though.

One, of course, is the rear seating. I'm almost willing to say screw it and figure out that issue when the time comes.

Two, rear seat belts. A little pain in the ass, I would need to take off the rear seat belt brace, shorten it and reweld it to the frame. Not a real big deal. I would have to reshape the rear floor area as well where the bracket goes.

Not saying I'll do this yet, but maybe. I'll look at it more when I'm cleaning off the undercoating.

The coil overs will clear the 335s as long as I relocate the lower bracket, I think I have a decent idea on doing that.

Notching the frame is something I planned for the 315's as a bit of overkill. Funny how that would be just right for the 335's

I've been up since six. My son has to go to work, so I cooked breakfast and have been dining and spending time with him before he leaves for the day. Just now got to pick up the iPhone.

I could set off a brick of c4 by my son's bed and he wouldn't wake up right now.

Ok, got a guide coat sprayed on the engine bay and removed the masking paper.

I'm going to block it with 320 grit. Let's see how far I can make it today.

Hahaha! That's the way my wife is. My boy works for his grandpa, who is a retired construction superintendent. He has helped me immensely teaching the boy work ethic. When it's time to go to work, he's out the door with coffee in hand. It's also cool, because when I'm not teaching him about tools and how to use them, grandpa is teaching him all the other stuff I don't know.

Luckily my family is just disfunctional enough I can spend Saturday morning out in the garage.
It's warm enough today to open the garage door too! Yay!

So I got the left side and firewall blocked out.

The left side blocked out so stinking nice! After all it's been through! It gets me ultra hyped about painting it, when a panel blocks out like that, the paint job should just turn out magnificent. I need to stay calm......

Got Doby's rear in the air again. Started grinding out the undercoating with a knotted wire wheel. It comes out easier than I expected, still though, I'm worn the hell out now.
First picture was just digging in a little to see how the knotted wire wheel would do, realized I could plow through it with the test.
Next couple of pictures show that I finished off the right side and got about half way through the left. The wire wheel was worn out by then, got to go get a new one:

Got half way through the left side:
That crap is thick! Hey, @madmike1157 , what do you think about that? Progress, huh?

I'm cleaning out the undercoating to prepare for the min-tubbing for those who just started looking.

I'll finish the right side tomorrow and block out the right side of the engine bay, guess what happens then?

I start prepping for paint! Tah dah!Yeah, that's right, I'm the man now!
