MY AZ people. FFW

A bunch of people from 1320stangs are heading up around noon.. I'll probably head up with a group from the east side.. another meet up on the west side too..

FWIW, FFW may be cancelled.. the one in cali already was..FFW is based in baton rouge and they dont know if they'll be able to get their equipment out because of the hurricane damage.

CENTRAL..........If I could describe it in one word I would use the word "LAME"!

That is "not" cruisin' if barricades go up and the police kept the cars off the side parking spots up north. Looked to me no different than Scottsdale Pavilions if everyone was just going there to park.

I took a look at your pics, Dark Knight.........Spaces! I saw parking spaces!

Oh man! When will I ever learn to get the heck out there a little earlier!!!

LOL!

Thanks for sharing the pics, Dark Knight. :nice:

*Does anyone know if that was the "official-official" last Cruise on Central?*

It was pretty damn hot up there, got a little burned..
Where was your car?

Not sure about the last one, depends on when they start to tear up central for the light rail system..

Where was my car?

Yeah! About that........I'm an old cruiser way back into the mid 70's. I use to cruise Central & Main in Mesa. When I went cruising, I went at night. Not in the middle of the day. It makes no sense to me to go down at noon. The problem with that thought is I get down there in time for the police to through up the barricades and to find no spaces to park. So, I ended up with my car at Uptown Plaza for about an hour - just enough time to talk with a few club members that drove through and I went home since cruising Central was killed. As I said - Lame. Oh well!

Take care of that burn, Dark Knight!

So did I, the old arbys or mcdonalds on central. Or in front of the bank by that grass area on main. :nice:
My 68 is the one I used to cruise then too.. Some pics of it back then.. then I had it back halved and could never get a race... :rlaugh:

Oh!!!! You were the one on the grassy noll! j/k

I keep thinking I've seen your car before. But, if I did that would be a long, long, loooong time ago. It has a stance with that hi-rise that would be hard to forget. *Very much like the time a 68 Fairlane pulled up beside me and when the light turned green........well, my car never faired well against something with a "jet engine" in it.*

Speaking of my "old cruiser", I'll see if I have a half-way, non-faded Poloroid pic laying around and get it on here. It was a fun car......wish I had it back!
