so toook me a lot longer than i thought to come up with cash to do my swap.
I posted about my swap along time ago but newborns and wife has been holding me back from this build. But now that i got some cash its on!

so once upon a time...

I got a doner car with a slightly modified engine

Motor has a
30 over bored stock block with unknown internals. the the previous owner didn't know about. since he was like the 3rd owner.

but he did have a parts list of other stuff.
full Holley SYSTEM MAX intake with Lunati roller rockers
BBK 75mm throttle body
BBK cold air intake
Comp Cam's custom cut camshaft
FMS 19lb. fuel injectors
full MSD ignition system
Mallory coil
Brand new water pump
Ford Racing 2 core radiator
Black Magic high performance electric fan with switch.
Trans is custom made from Art Carr
manual valve body with a solenoid operated 4th gear
3500 non lock up stall (also Art Carr).
B&M pro shift kit with a nice ratchet shifter.
aluminum drive shaft/3:73 limited slip rear end.

Right now the engins is all apart and the doner car is long gone. I'm ording from summit right now and am waiting for some back order stuff.

I'm thinking of getting some ARP bolts to go with the rebuild. Whats the recomended stuff. I seen stuff about 12 point, 6 point, Hex, Stainless steel, and black oxide.

my question is what bolts are worth upgrading while the engine is apart. And what type is better? Brand? Style?

I'll post pictures as the build goes along at the shop.

and i'll listen to sugestions. thanks

I think we need to know what your plans are for the engine to help us better assess. To be honest ARP make good bolts/fasteners obviously and I would use them for every bolt you want to replace.

With a stock block, you dont really need to replace many though... So what are your plans?

my plan is to get the vert on the road and running good. i don't plan to sell it. or atleast not the motor.

after looking at the parts it already was built with ARP bolts. but i lost some cause i didn't know ARP was special. lol.

We don't have a drag strip in hawaii so i want to build more of a road car set up with it.

one day i want to put a blower on it. but that may take a while.

to answer your question. I want good horsepower as anyone else. but i want it to beat up the twisties ike
