Werent you just lookin for another car? Or two?

You'll be able to get the mating surfaces spread back out enough to get it sealed. IIRC, some guys even use a gasket at the collector connection.

Hope things work out man. I'd find a real cheap car, or what about a motorcycle?

20 miles... that's a long ways!

It took me awhile (about 2 months) to do the exhuast on my car and the gears. I had to walk to work(4-5 miles) Took about 1 hour. I looked at it like your getting exercise!. LoL Just wait you'll sort it all out, you have so far.

A good night's sleep and you'll have it whipped. Walkin' into a new pile of car crap isnt a great idea (cheapo cars have lots of issues in general).

Open headers is cool anyhow.

your gonna be walking into crap with any 100k+ mile car... I dont see the point of switching unless it was for gas conservation.

if your going to go econ car, go with a honda or toyota.. usually easy to work on and plenty of room in the engine bay to do it

For the first 5 minutes atleast

Good luck Adam.. I know you've been working hard to get the car together and run quicker. I've been lucky that my Dad works from home, so I can generally borrow his truck when I gotta work on my car.

Open headers are like alcohol.

Only fun in in small doses.

Wait.

They are nothing like alcohol.

They are fun for a while though. lol
