Betcha money it's a HG. Maybe a burnt valve. Sorry to be so "upbeat".
You will never be happy with the "power" that the Saturn makes. My mom had one. I took it to the shallow mountains of Upstate New York. (Cazenovia area) Damn! That car couldn't even pull it's own weight up the hills! (Almost got passed by a guy on a bicycle....seriously!) Of course, going down the hill into Cazenovia was "exciting" too, with those monstrous brakes.
Kidding. Mostly. You'll definitely like the fuel economy over the Stang.

Ive been reading i think its an IAc valve or EGR valve... yea a 124hp is nothing ot brag about... but for what i paid for it and the minor flaws...

and a small crack in the fender...
the car blue books for $2885 in fair... so i figure ill throw a $30 iac valve at it... and see what happens... if nothing an egr valve at $70...... the oil looked clean and so did the coolant... but if its a head problem... $300 engine will solve the problem... ill pay someone to throw it in and have a decent car for under $2000
it also blows no smoke... or anything... it drives perfect till i decel to a stop then it sounds like i have migets brawing in the trunk... muffler shakes and bangs on the car lol
