I had not driven my 89 LX in a few weeks. I took it out last week after driving my 96 GT for the last few weeks. The car handles so poorly it makes me nervous. I have the stock suspension and 245/50/Z16 tires on stock five stars. The car shakes a lot. On the highway both the front and rear end are all over the place when on uneven road. Even on straight roads it wobbles. I have heard that old bushings can cause this. I put the tires here because I have been reading a lot about people having problems with bigger tires. When I take hard lefts I can hear a noise coming from my rear passenger fender well. This has been happening since I got the car. I thought it might be a quad shock but I don't see any sign of it.

When is the last time you got your wheels balanced? I have 245/45/16's and have no problems. The noise in the rear when you turn might be your tires rubbing, did you look for rub marks in the fenderwell?

My solution is, get the wheels balanced if you haven't recently and then get this-> http://www.maximummotorsports.com/giab.asp or if you can afford it, get this -> http://www.maximummotorsports.com/giab2.asp

What kind of tires are you running? Also, have your alignment checked and your rotors turned.

get full length sub frmae connectors. You can get them from a numerous amount of companies and they just weld in. After that then maybe get a full coilover kit to help handle those curves a little better.

I had a four wheel alignment September 2002. That was about a month after I got the car. Did not get them balanced though. I have Pirelli Super Sports. I was going to try putting a set of 225/55/15 tires on turbines I have on the car and see if the rubbing stops and if the car handles a little better. Don't plan on keeping them on, just testing the current tires. Then I will take them off and see if I need new tires.

I have subframe connectors on now, but I don't like them. They are the weld in ones similar to the MM's with the seat brace. I am going to pull them and put in the full length Global West subframes. I am also considering the Motorsport C springs.
