my car runs great, but when it gets hot is loses hella power, which i will fix witha 180 tstat i hope. My question is this: how come my car dies at idle abouit once a week, what should i set the idle at, at warm temp? i think its low.

Still fighting the heating issue???

how hot is hot??? you got a gage??? This may seem wack,,,but did you use the w/pump from your 95 or the Explorer one??? Ours are reverse rotation to a fox car...

The idle should be set with the car cold...Have you re-set the idle properly since the H/C/I ???? Mine ran fine at first...then the computer caught up with it and things started going south...stall here, there. not alot, just random stuff..

Looks like your 2031 is throwing small fits... Cams are sweet but do make these cars fussy when it comes to idling....I have a fox set-up...but I finally followed and actual sequnce to get my idle squared away...and I'll be damned its works...Is it a tad rough here and there..sure...my idles set to 750-800...i could go higher, but hey it works...900 is prolly much better for a cammed car..

Try this if you haven't done it...steps...4&5 are what i used...
