2 base and 2 clear..just what PPG recommends...you can pile more clear on, but it may yellow more over time..even at 2 coats of clear, we "baled" the last coat on, theres plenty...that hood and most of the car was wetsanded/buffed 4 times over with 1500 to get any peel out...it looks flat and clear...

Did you ever think of going darker in the middle? I saw a set of 18 inch cobra R's with the lip machined and the center done in a dark charcole gray metalic. They looked awesome. I do like the wheels though. nice to see something a little different for once. And by the way BEAUTIFUL ride.

It looks like all of your hard work paid off. It really looks nice; kinda like getting a new car, huh? I wouldn't touch the wheels for at least a couple of weeks. Give it some time to see if they grow on you or not. Enjoy!

I really didn't like my wheels when they were on the car at first. But they are growing on me now. Just need some polish and they will be perfect.

At least a couple of weeks. Should give you enough time.

But if you do change the color, have the outer lip machined, and the spokes/center painted Dark shadow grey, like the newer mustangs. I love that color.

That looks damn good. You did it right, Andy. You used the perfect combination of paint and clear. I hate red cars with tons of clear on them; it really takes away from the red. The combination you used lets the color speak for itself, and that is definitely a good thing.

Could you manage to salvage cruise control with the fox TB swap?

Joe
