Thanks, ive gotta see what he recommends for a head. I do have Shaft Rockers and a pretty massive intake....so 225 might not hurt. But i did want to keep the RPMs below 7000. Whats awesome is that hes in state. So i can go pick it up myself.

So are you just getting a cam from him or more work? What prices did he send to you? Interested because I was looking at a 393 stroker kit from fordstrokers.com and definitely wanted to get a FTI cam. PM me if you dont want to post numbers here.

how much do you want for the heads

$750 Shipped They have 1/2" holes so you'll need dowels if its going on a 302. I had them O-Ringed so they'll be good if you're running nitrous, S/C Etc.

These heads have 210cc Runners but the actual flow numbers are comparable to a AFR 165cc. It includes Valves/ Springs/Retainers/Bronze guides. No studs or guide plates. Springs are good up to .600 lift. If you live close enough and don't know how to install heads ill install them. :D (For the right price of course)

Ed is the mad scientist in the hills. Good thing we have e-mail. LOL....if theres a problem i will personally drive to his shop and leave an email on a brick. :D J/k

A N/A SBF combo isn't hard to figure out. I gave him plenty of info.

As for the heads They're on my engine right now. They're in excellent condition seeing as i put them on about a year ago and the car doesn't get driven much. I'll either toss them on E-bay or toss them on the short block 302 in my garage. and start building a second motor.

UPDATE from Ed Curtis

Afternoon Christopher,

I did run through quite a few calculations using the AFR 205 heads and the AFR 225 heads as well as various camshaft profiles and we would be looking a project with close to 525 HP with the 205 heads. As long as the headers are a match up to the exhaust ports of the AFR 205 heads. About 25-30 more with a big set of tubes made for the larger 225 exhaust ports. Quite a stout powerplant.

Let me know when you're ready and we can get this done.

Ed

So whatcha guys think?? AFR 225???

Thats more power than i planned.... If i made around 550hp with this N/A setup i would be excited!!!!
