Hello all. Im posting my entire build sheet to see what you guys think i would make to the wheels. Im so curious to see what it makes, but need a few more things before it can hit the dyno. So anyway here is everything.

Fresh 306. (Less than 4000 miles on it.)
Keith Black pistons
Eagle I rods
1.6 rr
Comp. Ratio= 10.6:1
F303 cam
Timing is set to 34 degrees
AFR 165 heads
650 carburetor (untuned)
air gap RPM intake.
Hooker shorty headers to H pipe. No cats
Mac mufflers
T5 trans.
So with all this said/typed. With a decent tune what do you guys think i should be putting to the wheels. Thank you. :nice:

If it were me, before I paid for dyno time,(provided your are dropping the engine in the car and doing a chassis dyno) I'd try to run the car a little, read the plugs to get an idea of your carb tune and try to optimize that first. Then maybe tweek the timing between pulls. Sounds to me like a pretty tough set up! I'd be interested to see how it does. Good luck!:nice:

Ive been driving the car for about 2500 miles now. and it seems really sluggish. besides the fact that it has the stock 4 cyl. gears it still feels very sluggish. But i will check the plugs and see what they look like.

is there anything anyone would reccomend changing.. like something little such as timing or something, I thought that the timing is a bit high.

I'm looking at the details of your build sheet and have a couple of questions, If you don't mind:
1. Exactly, how did you arrive at thinking you have a "10.6" CR?
2. What is the "built in" mechanical deg. of the dizzy and what initial timing are you running?
3. Do you have an O2 sensor bung in the exhaust just after the collector?
4. What kind of vac. are you making at idle?

I think you mentioned you were going to get it dynoed, not having an O2 sensor is a serious mistake. If you do, then great. Pay close attention to the AFR ratio and it's graph. Ideally, you want to see a 12.9-13.3 from about 3000 to 6500 and be, somewhat, flat.
Also, remember to remove the air cleaner before the run.
Happy Motoring!

PoppyMod, thank you for your concern, and the motor was pulled, rebuilt, and everything was done, then put the motor back in, that is the way i bought it. So the comp ratio and the timing are at what the car was built at. and i believe that i dont have o2 sensors, but would it before the dyno
