I finally bought my first house. Got this one on short sale for $147K in Acworth GA. I finally have my Mustang shop that I've always wanted. It's a 4bedroom, 3 bath, garage space for 4 cars and a car port, 2215 sq ft of living space on 3/4 to 1 Acre.

I'd show pictures of the inside of the house, but it's a mess because we are painting.

Wow....that house and propery would go for an easy $350-$400 where I'm from right now and that's even with the consideration that the bottom has fallen out of the market.

(starts making plans to relocate to GA)

*EDIT*
Its so funny for me, considering where I live to see a garage without insulation or some form of wood, oil, or gas furnace in it. :rlaugh:

Why does GA suck, I have always thought it looked pretty. I paid $143K for 3/4 the space, and 1/2 the garages of yours here in Iowa. Looks like you got a nice deal, congrats on the purchase.

Oh yeah, and I have a much smaller lot...

Beautiful place--congrats!

What the heck are you doing fixing up the inside--that Mustang garage needs lots of work! I don't see a compressor, a welder, near enough tools or tool cabinets...

Where are your priorities?!:D

Nice place man! I live about 45min up 75 from you in Ringgold. I dont know if I would go as far to say GA suck but I would have to say living and driving everyday in ATL would suck:nonono:

The farther north you go the better it gets. If I could live anywhere in America it would be around Tricities, TN or in Vermont somewhere. Ringgold looks like a nice area. I have to be honest, I avoid the city whenever possible. Up here in Cherokee County I have everything I need. And the one advantage to my job is only have to drive into the city once a week, and drive out 3 or 4 days later. So that 43 mile commute doesn't bother me too much. I'm HORSEpower on streetcarforums, but I haven't been on there in at least a year. Everyone is a little too preachy for me there.

Damn... thats a hella price for what you got... looks like it needs nada for work to boot...

Having private storage for the toy is always nice....:nice:

It's not too bad on the work side. The downside of buying a house on short sale is that it sold "as is." The house needs new carpet bad. Also, if I use the second bath upstairs, it rains in the kitchen. The water had convieniently been shut off the day of the home inspection. I think I can fix that for under $100 though.

LOL. My priorities are making the old lady happy for now. There is a compressor on the floor, and a welder on the other side. You just can't see it in those pictures. I could honestly do with a better tool box, a better air compressor, and a welder stand, but I've been making do with a combination of smaller tool boxes and cabinets for awhile now. I have just about every tool you need to do just about anything to a Mustang.
