My Fox(es) In Surgery - Looking Like A Car Again, sort Of

Well Merry Christmas and Happy New Year right?
I go to detail the car today and notice a little rust by the battery on the 86. Figure,no problem, brush, sand, primer,, paint and its fixed.
I remove the battery and battery try and ................................. .:nonono:
my guess is a battery must have leaked or exploded and no one botherd to clean it properly
at least the other side is ok
I cut up some sheet metal and used rust converter and paint as a temp fix so the battery would have some support until my buddy finishes with the red car..

Then he can tackle this

If anyone wants to know.. my favorite is Jack Daniels- feel free to donate

So, I guess there is a silver lining to having your hood fly up. You caught it before the car killed you. Dang, those pics make me sick to my stomach on such a nice car. Soldier on, keep us posted.

These pics make me want to throw up....:puke:

Can't wait to see some better pics...o_O

That corner seems like a favorite place for rust in convertibles. I've seen it time and time again. If it was my car I'd try to save it, too. Good luck, man :nice:
