So it's been a while since I've posted anything here... Been busy with this car, and last week the motor let go, after turbocharging it.. Not sure what caused the distruction, but I'm more concerned with getting the tune down this time.

New motor going in should be here Mid week, along with the support parts, the head is at the machine shop getting valves, cleaned up, ect.. Turbo pipes are off to the local coaters tommorow, still have alot of detail work, some more paint, and the engine install to go.

Livernois Motorsport 4.6l - Cobra crank, Manely H beams, Mahle pistons, Cobra oil pump, Clevitte bearings, balanced.. Cometic MLS gaskets, ARP head studs and Main studs, ect... 42lb injectors, Focus pump with BAP, Lighting 90mm maf, and SCT X cal II tune..

Damn Mike, what a mess! That sucks, but maybe it was a blessing. I can't wait to see what kind of numbers you get that thing toi make, I have a feeling it will open quite a few eyes here as to what the 4.6 is capable of.

sorry, new pics are working now...

BTW, The entire car will be Dupont Hot Hues Molten Orange by next month (for FFW Orlando).. As that is what color the intake, cam covers and engine bay are currently. Picture the Saleen Etreme.. This color is very close to that, but a tad darker and more orange.

Yowza...That thing grenaded....I swore I was looking at mine own pics when I broke mine....Mine was #7 though...Punched a hole right in the block to...
How you like wrenching on a 4.6 ??? Lotsa chains and gears...always though timing one would be a mofo...
That intake looks like sex.... Primo stuff as usual...

PS...ever wish you would have just left it alone...

GDamn I love that color. Your motor pics are down right scary. I love the pic with the arrow pointing at the oil drain. man have I seen that sight plenty of times. Good luck on all the work but then again you won't need it. Top notch quality craftsmanship that I admire everytime you have a project.

Damn Mike, I swear if I'm ever rich someday, I'm hiring you as my personal car builder. You have an amazing talent for all things Mustang it seems, and never cease to amaze me with the exceptional quality and attention to detail on your cars. First thing I thought of when I saw that color was that Berillym (sp?) copper color on the Saleens. That color is just hot.

The pic with the coolant pouring out of the oil drain plug is hilarious (maybe not for you though).
