no i dont have giant hands, its acutally that small. 17cm x 17cm

the plan is to get the whole computer running by mid winter on the workbench and work out all the kinks and increase boot time.

i got a front end (menu screen) off a forum that i edited a little to fit my needs and taste

heres a pic

ive been debating on how to do it IF i do it

i think if i do ill get a motorized flip out screen and move my alpine HU to the bottom slot and run all the audio through that since it has RCA inputs. that way i dont have to worry about the amp/sound BS and stuff

btw what are the specs on that comp?

How do you keep your FM radio? Casue if you take the radio out to put the screen in I dont know how you still have it. Unless the screen has and FM tuner.

i would rather run a 7" mounted flat screen then a motorized single din. the 7" screen will take up both (double din) slots. it will look alot cleaner. plus a 7" lcd touch screen can be bought for a lot more cheaper.

specs on the motherboard is VIA EPIA M10000. here's a link so i dont take up alot of room. http://www.mini-box.com/VIA-EPIA-M10000-Mainboard?category=99

i will lose the radio tuner complete in my setup. with a 60 gig hard drive, the amount of mp3's i will have will be enough. and if i dont have it, i'll just download it right on the spot. after a while i will get what they call a HQCT. its the best radio tuner available so far

UPDATE:

picked up a harddrive 80gig, IDE laptop adapter, 512 RAM, 7" touchscreen, and a newer style radio bezel.

all i'm missing now is a case, powersupply, and a slot load dvd. i'm a really cheap bastard on this project so i'm just waiting till i find this stuff for cheap on ebay or in some forums.

in a few weeks i'm going to fiberglass the the screen into the bezel.
