My Quest for a 10 second pass.

10.15 is boring in an auto...
went 6.1 in the 1/8 when the motor let go... shoulda went about a 9.6ish based off its other passes. 2nd motor with the 2.4KB snapped the input shaft on the C4 after it was throwing blower belts.
he did say it layed over a bit on the top end but that coulda been the stall being to loose. which killed the fun factor.
this is true... but ive yet to find an 03 cobra car with out an auto going 30's seen a few in the 40's though
Most 03 cobra's that could actually cut a 1.30 light dont get driven like they should, just cause you havent seen it, dosent mean it isnt possible I get why people put auto in thier cars, if i swapped a C4 with a brake or a th400 in my car tommorow on saturday i would be running 10's. It's easy, i get it. But it would be kill me because i'd fall asleep at the wheel on the street

I know why people choose an auto as well... But having driven a lot of Mustangs, auto and stick I can say my .02 is stick all the way. There is a skill to driving an auto car down the track, I give you that, but compared it's night and day.
Watching a 9 second auto to me is less fun than watching even a 12 or 13 second stick shift car.

Unless the car is on the bumper, then im cool with it... I can rember my 13 second passes in my lightning, it was still fun, but it was so fricken easy, just footbrake it on the converter, and mash the gas on the 3rd bulb, i could have changed radio stations on those passes, hell i coulda swapped CD's
so anyone wanna trade a built C4 and stall for a tremec unit or what??
the only think i'd worry about changing on that car is right on top of the engine...

Thanks man!! It'll be Whippled eventually for certain. I must say that I miss banging gears, but this car leaves hard on the trans brake on these M&H 325s.
Oh well, good thing there are no tracks in NY state.

LVD, my dad hooks hard there every time. My brother does alright there. I'm hit or miss though...

True enough. I just thought we were talking about what it would take for 10's. I see where you are coming from about driving on the street, a stick is more fun to drive.

I would be willing to bet a well driven proshifted box vs a well done C4, there is next to nothing to gain with the C4 and the stick car could run side by side with it.

What's it have to do with opinions? I get an attitude when people have no clue whatsoever wtf they are talking about and try to state stuff as facts. It happens A LOT around here.
