well i hate the rubber lines in my bay and i want braided lines so i have been searching and i found these ends http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RUS-640880

so if i use these at each end then all i need is a line x amount of lenght with the -8an fittings right..??

Only question is how are you gonna hookup the other end of the line? At the metal lines coming into the bay or back by the tank.

funny you metion this today right before work I tried to start my car and it wouldn't start but I could smell fuel, luckly my dad was by my car he saw fuel pouring out from under the car so I pop the hood and the feed line where it comes into the engine bay came apart this pissed me off cause i just put 3/4 of a tank in it yesterday and drove it 2

Sorry to impead but Iam very interested on changing the lines out too.

How does the rubber line connect to metal line? does it snap together like on the fuel rail or is it held together with plastic clips like the fuel filter?

thanks guys

...hmmm i guess i didn't pay close attention to that end i figured it would have a quil connect like the rails.....how does that end connect?

and i know about fuel scares i filled my tank with 93 went cruising smelled gas and in like 5 miles i lost a 1/4 tank i checked it out and and the bolt holding the fuel rail to the manifold snapped and my injectors were blowing fuel all down the side of my engine on my headers its scary stuff i cant believe i didn't have a fire or something since i had to drive it home like that.

i went out and looked at the lines and where the hard lines come up its the goofy dissconnects....i think im stuck with crap lines i dont know any way around it unless i got lines from the tank to the rails and that seems expensive.

Urban96 can you post a pic or a part# for these? I can't remember what the sending unit lines looked like from back when I dropped my tank.

Your are a GENIOUS! BRILLIANT! YOUR THE MAN!

The mystery is finally solved. Thank you for finding them. I owe you my life.

OKAY, I'm done, but seriously that is the missing link. I will call them this week to see if they will sell me just the adapters. I'm pretty sure that is all we need.

Well actually I just got off the phone with them. I hope that not everyone that works there is like the guy that I just spoke to because he was a pure d*ckhead. I have only contacted them once, which was just 5 min ago and I won't order a damn thing from them ever. Sometimes I hate the way people in this hobby act.

I'm so pissed right now I want to destory something, thats how mad these types of a**holes make me. I am trying to give them money, on the spot, even over pay if I have to, and they don't have enough customer service over the phone to help me.

***** THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Id order the parts from Summit / 50resto.

The connections are like the A/C connections.

There is a spring inside the adapter that holds the lines together.

Hrm... the first link, if you look at the scale of a -8AN line vs. the fuel line, its a bit... big.

Too bad they dont have the barb end dimension.

What about this.... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RUS-651104&N=700+115&autoview=sku
