Hey guys, I think my timing is off..
By reviewing my signature, can you give me some kind of an idea as to where it should be and how to set it?
Regardless of temperature, it cranks and cranks in the morning before turning over and between RPM ranges of 1000 to 2400, the engine bogs and jerks.
My mechanic worked on it a few weeks ago and advanced it after replacing a head gasket, but I'm thinking it's advanced too much. Any ideas?

..and is it necessary to be aware of how much you advance to maintain clearance with respect to rockers and valve covers?
