My turbo install, part I

I bought an entire replacement kit by Baer brakes. They are FOX length.

I guess I should have clarified.....what length axles on there? fox or sn-95?

TIA :nice:

I'm running a Walbro 255lph high volume, high pressure intank pump, Aeromotive fuel regulator, Bosch 42lb injectors and Goodridge steel braided lines.

Why single, because they are less hassle then a twin setup and PTK offered a high quality kit for a great price.

What are you running for the fuel system? I see the 42lb'ers and monster rails...but what are your running for pumps and lines?

Why'd you decide to go single?

I should have some more progress pics tonight or tomorrow. All the pullies, power steering pump, alternator and hoses are back on. As well as most of the fuel lines. The rest of the turbo plumbing should be on this weekend.

Close to the same fuel as mine, except I am using the BEGI FMU and 30# injectors. And I am using the stock lines.

Ahh, it a PTK kit, what GEN? Mine is a Gen 3.

Turbo Lag, never heard of it :D

OK, its been awhile since I have posted some progress pics, so here you are. Most of the fuel lines have been plumbed in along with new fittings. Fuel rails, injectors and eltronics are back in place. Distributor, wires and sparkplugs all back in. Valve covers are on and in place. MSD sticker has been removed ;) Now we are at the stage to bolt up the rest of the turbo kit. We are also planning to re-route the main fuel line just before the engine bay and run it up behind the strut tower. This will avoid the lines coming close with the hot headers. We will also mount the fuel regulator back there as well. Its kind of cluttered right now but I will make sure it all looks nice and neat in the end.

Yeh, mine is a Gen 4 kit. I opted not to go with the FMU and get a tweecer instead, along with a electronic boost controller.

Sweet, I have the TwEECer R/T as well, I haven't gotten it in, but I have been messing with it a bit. What boost controller are you running? I have been looking into those as well.....TIA

Brad in GA. :nice:

I went with a Greddy Profec B Spec II. Click on the "My Car Gallery" link in my sig to see the entire mod list.

OK Brad, I just checked out the gallery page. How about some other shots? Like, interior pics and maybe some closeups on those BearClaws? Oh- everyone can bust on me all they want, but I'd like to see more about that Honda too.
What's the deal with Performance-Shop? I see it's like an alliance of Canadian speed shops; do you own one, work at it, or just a rolling advertisement?

I don't have any really good pictures of my brakes close-up or my interior :nonono: I will get some soon.

The Honda is not my car, its my best friends. Here is a link to more shots of his car. Its a homemade turbo kit on it with an EVO biggest hybrid turbo. It walks on stalk stangs like they are standing still. :nice: At 3500' sea level its a low 14 second car at 97mph. He pulled on my stang by about 6 car lengths :p Here is a link to more pics of his car.

As for Performance-shop.com I own and operate it. I rent out advertising space on my boards to local and Canadian speedshops. Helps pay for the site.

Some new pics, basically everything is plumbed in. A few silicon hoses were missing. Everything went fairly smooth. The kit fit very well. Took some wedging but we got it all in place. Didn't even have to cut very much to make it all work. My lower bumper cover almost hides everything. Very stealthy ;D
