awww man....that stinks....i know that usually that alternator upgrade isn't a direct fit and some fabrication needs to be done on the brackets using a dremmel....i haven't personally done it yet cause i haven't found time yet....but i read a lot articles in regards to this.check this out

ya the guy mounted it real sweet and it looks good but i would like to put my under drive pully back on, im sure there are many people with under drives on the 130 amp alts how do they do it?? thanks again

I put a washer on mine and it's been running geez, for like 2 years now maybe? I drive the car everyday too....If all else fails just leave the stock pulley on it, how much of a gain will you get by underdriving an alternator.... I put the under drive on my 3g because the pulley it came with was much larger, and it was an ugly gold, heh....not like I can see my alternator now anyways.....

Make sure it isn't backwards. My brother put underdrives on his 94 and the crank was like that. Good thing I caught it before he found the right belt and ran it...lol. You couldn't tell, but the center was just a tad offset.

I've seen this before. When i put a stock 2G pulley on my 3G alt the snout on the back was too short and it rubbed.

I got a washer from Home Depot. It's in the little metric washer boxes. 16mm was the inside diameter.

I have had it on my car 2 years no problems

I just did my 3g alt upgrade 2 weeks ago and the vice president of my car club, who is a ford tech, said that the old u.d pulley would not work, so make sure you got the new pulley with the alt. now i have heard that it has worked for some and that it hasnt for some. i just stuck with the pulley that came with the new alt and have had no problems at all.

i guess try a few different size washers and if all else fails, just use the stock pulley (which on mine was actually a little bigger than my old pulley by about 1/4-1/2".......cant remember exactly, but my old short belt was already tight on my old alt, so I had to go buy one that was longer. It was so tight the tentioner was already at the top with no slack in it, so I cut it off and needed one longer anyway. i got one that was about 1.5" longer and it was much easier to get on. I think the shop that put that old belt on needed 2 guys to do it. lol
