http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/589036-i-need-very-specific-website.html <found this in the sticky thread

for a 4 cyl what else will be needed? i know i need a full front and rear axle set up.
i will be using a bronco efi 351w as a donor vehicle

as for a bigger tank can i use the bronco fuel cell? since its a taller tank and holds 33 gallons of gas (4cyl & 5.0s hold 15.3or? gallons of gas) i dont want to make much trips to the gas station due to how much of a 351 is a gas guzzler and the bronco fuel cell holds twice as much fuel i was thinking ill be ditching the spare tire compartment and massage the sheetmetal upward and do some fabrication to make the bronco fuel cell fit is this a good idea? you guys think it would fit?

if you guys ask why reason being is why do the same hard work for a 302? when i can have a 351w at the same price?

The front suspension is a little more difficult to change over, especially since noone I asked was sure of what interchanged and what doesn't. Here is what is the same: The tie rod ends and the lower ball joints are identical (even though the parts stores list two part numbers for the tie rod ends and charge more for the V8 one). I called TRW and they confirmed that their tie rod ends are packaged with the same production number, but that parts stores label them differently to get more money for the V8 end. Anyhow, if you want to install GT brakes, you need new: rotors, bearings and seals, spindles, calipers, pads, brake distribution block, and master cylinder. You do NOT need to change: tie rod ends, ball joints, sway bar (although the V8 Mustangs have a fatter bar) or anything else. The front strut mounting pad on the V8 is skinnier, and a spacer plate available from Monroe is needed to use your 4 cylinder struts. However, since you have the front end apart, it is in your best interest to chage the struts/springs since you have them accessible. If you are changing to 5 lug rotors instead of 4 lug, all parts are identical, except that you should use 1986 SVO rotors instead.

Mustang 4 cylinder to V8 conversion

did alittle research found a small bit of good info for the handling this guy did a 351 swap on one of his other pages but found the same info on the 351 swap thread also saw that the 351w is aod or t5 capable. where can i find the best aod rebuild kit that will be able to handle stress from the 351 im looking into a hurst shifter or b&m.
