I know this is a super old post but I'd like to tell you about my 94 vert w/aode.

It has a 331 stroker in it with all the bolt ons. On the dyno it made 307hp/321tq to the wheels. I was very happy with that but I'm sure it could have been much better.

At the track I was able to pull a 12.78 at 108 with a 1.93 short time. Out of about 13 runs, 8 or so were in the 12.8/12.9 range and the rest were in the 13.0 range. That was on 18" BFG DRs too. I was only launching at around 2200rpms that time out. I'm heading back to the track tomorrow 6/4 to try and launch harder to hopefully better my 60' times and get a trap speed around 110 and a 12.5 timeslip.

Hope this helps show what is possible with a heavy vert and aode.

Was this with a stock converter?
What other mods?

That barely over 300hp seems awefully low for a 331 engine.

3000 PI converter...and it does seem a little low.

But I'd rather be able to say I have a 12.78 timeslip with my heavy aode vert than saying something like I have 400 rwhp and haven't been to the track.

just my honest opinion...to each his own.

Chill dude...dont get so damn sensitive....nobody's making fun of your car.

DYNO NUMBERS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WEIGHT OF YOUR CAR!

No offense taken...

All I was saying was that a 12 second timeslip was more important to me that dyno numbers and yes I know that the weight of my car has nothing to do with the dyno.

I was just stating that convertable sn95s with the aode tranny are heavy and that's what I have, a heavy 94 convertable with an aode...

Im just kinda upset myself b/c I was considering dumping the Vortech and using the $$ to finance a brand new tough-as-nails 331 with AFR 185's, and I was hoping to put 350 to the wheels with it, with my intake, MAM, and PI Stallion.
