Hey guys, has anyone done this? anyone heard that someone done it? I found a dude that have a VT stage II N/A with blower and hi made pretty good power.......
you can use N/A cams with a blower and still make good numbers. You should check out the book building 4.6/5.4 hp on the dyno. They claim that the combos make good power but i dont have the book to tell you although they make a few runs that you can compare
I have VT stg 1s with my turbos and I make pretty good power. However VT stg 2 cams have ALOT of valve overlap...they will let alot of boost go straight out the exhaust. May still make more power than stock cams though. But go for it and see what she puts down
If you are going to swap cams anyways get ones that are made for forced induction. The proper valve overlap will net you better power throughout the power band. The more boost you run, the better the results will be from a proper cam profile for your build.
I know that proper cams gonna work better, but I already have the N/A in my car,and the dude that build my motor said that this cams gonna work ok,thy will lick some boost but make goon power.
I just want to see if anyone else have this done that's all.
by the way read this if you have a free time........ http://forums.modulardepot.com/4-6l-2v-tech/92379-vt-stage-ii-cams-blower.html
