N2mb Wot Box??

So I was scrolling through the good ole youtubes tonight and I noticed there is a bunch of modular guys starting to use N2mb (company name) wot boxes. I like the idea of the no lift shift and the two step. My questions about this box are
1. Does anyone have one in their fox? Do you like it?
2. The two step and no lift shift functions are both wired in to the neutral safety switch from what I can tell..how does this work when you just want to free rev your car? I don't want to get this thing installed and find out I can't rev match or just push the clutch in to rev without hitting the two step all the time.
3. Is there any ill effects? I think I read somewhere that the coyote cars with mt82s have a BAD habit of demolishing clutches/trannies if you run a wot box. Is this the case with any car or is that just the nature of the mt82?

If you don't lift to shift a T5, you WILL destroy it. The third gear syncro or actual gear will be the first thing to break.The T5’s problem of the case spreading so the gears engage only at the gear tooth tips is still present. That causes them to fail anyway, even with the stronger gear material.

If you are going to do a no lift to shift, you need a Tremec 3550, or TKO variant. They are rugged and will take the no lift to shift routine with no problems.

I have a Tremec 3550, the little brother to the TKO, that I have driven for more than 17 years. It still shifts fast, and smooth, I never lift off the throttle to shift and it never complains or gives me problems. As long as you run the correct lubricant and the right amount of it, they are almost bulletproof.

Are you saying no lift shifting without the wot box that cuts ignition to basically drop rpm without letting off the gas or just regular old powershifting? Cause I definitely am aware powershifting will grenade a t5

To be clear ANY form of power or wot shifting will grenade a t5, even flat shifting. This wot box allows for flat shifting (ignition cut) the only thing it does is stop the engine from bouncing off the rev limiter.

So what I'm hearing is the wot box is a BAD idea?? They advertise it as a way to reduce transmission wear..this is false? I guess I just
Don't understand what the negative effects are. I have a hard hitting a clutch as it is (spec stage 1) just not sure what the bad part is? I already speed shift as it is. Not trying to argue just trying to gather information!

You are shifting at wide open throttle....... that is a huge amount of shock load on the trans, it causes things to break

So 3550 is the way to go for sure?

It works for me... On a good day my mostly stock 5.0 will start to get sideways on a full throttle 1st to 2nd upshift. The stretch of road that runs in front of the local Ford dealership is my favorite place to do that little dance...
