Hey Mach1grrl were you driving on 355 yesturday around 2pm ish...I saw a azure Mach 1 going North from the toll booth I was heading south on my way to I55

Yep that was me! I was on my way to the midwest fords meet at Dave&Busters. That's funny that you saw me since I never drive that way! I actually saw a lot of mustangs going south, so I am sure I saw you and just didn't know it. But, yeah, I finally made it to my first meet! Yay!

Yep, it's still there. They've got the black/gold 380R vert in the showroom too. They are offering some really good deals on all the 03s and 04s ($3,000-$4,000 off sticker).

What type of gas do you put in your Mach? I haven't had a chance to check that yet. I though I read somewhere that Machs need premium (91 octane) but I though that only Cobras and Lightnings needed to use premium (because of the supercharger).

I use Premium...I am pretty positive that it says to use Premium on the Instrument Panel. Yeah I am about take lunch and just drive around...I do that all the time! It's so much fun to drive.

Thanks. I just looked at the owner's manual (yes, I'm a guy who reads owner's manuals) and it does say premium. Have fun on lunch

I thought it was Premium....I read the owner's manuals, too! You being a guy who reads the manuals is about as rare as me being a girl who drives a mach....haha!

Well you can still come out and cruise detroit anytime! Have you ever been to the race track out your way? The one with the midnight street race thing? Ive been considering bringing my car out for it. US41 or something ?

I've actually never been to any tracks yet, but I really want to try and make it to one this summer. US41 is in Indiana actually, I think. Not sure if that is the place that has the midnight street race thing that you are talking about.

Oh yeah for sure....rt66 in Joliet would be the closest to me, and then gld. Never been to either though One of these days!

Hey Hey

I'm new to this board and it's good to see some stangers in the area. I just traded in my 01 cobra for an 04 and it rocks! I'm anxious to take it to R66, so if there is a day that a group of people are going to go, please post it and I'll be there. Mine is still pretty much stock for the moment except for the mufflers and a CAI that I made, so I'm ready to get my first time slips. I've got a Redfire one and my brother has a Performance Red 01 that is slowly transforming into a Cobra R. We are usually seen blazing around warrenville, wheaton, and naperville. Always looking for some tiresmoking stoplight racing. Seeya around.
