I am pretty excited because its the closest track. I can drive up there in a reasonable amount of time. I have a friend up in Everett, and we're going to meet up for the first big race. Should be fun.

Personally I feel the same about drag racing. BORING! all that wait to run for 10 seconds, and never get to rub the car next to you to get by. Circle track rocks...and if we had REAL rally racing in the US, I would be a huge fan.

I think rally racing is about the most hardcore, edge of your seat type of racing out there. But I've seen entirely too many "rally fans wiped out by a subaru" videos on the net Like this one to ever attend a race in person!

They are gonna have a huge problem when nascar comes to bremerton for one reason. Everyone will fly into seatac and then try to take the ferry across to bremerton. That will be 80,000 more ferry passengers and a big traffic nightmare. But hell yea I am excited too!!!

Arlington would have been closer for me, but I'll still take Bremerton over nothing!

That would be great if they can get the ink dried on a solid deal for a track here. I would do my damndest to get at least 1 season ticket seat in the good sections. Their expensive as hell though. Otherwise I'll just go every year and get whatever seats I can. They'll have to make the race during May-September or they'll lose tons of money on too many rainy days. I'm there no matter what!!!! Just a question of when and where.

Not too crazy it's in Bremerton. Better hurry and build a new bridge over the Narrows.

well, I'm glad, I like watching nascar from time to time. I'd sure as **** show up and get all hammered. lol. one thing that I'm hoping for with this track is an infield road course. hopefully we can get some road racing in here, maybe persuade some sanctioning bodies to have some races here (please NASA). I know PR has a road course but from what I've seen of the facility, it isn't too accomodating for big budget race teams to park all their equipment, etc. (meaning road racing), but a Nascar track could. I just hope to be able to compete, also I'd love it if we could get some rolex series racing going on here, or grand am cup.

I suppose that's why NASCAR veterans normally win the road course races and not the so-called "road course secialists"

Yea, something like 64 attempts and 0 wins. The Top 10s for the specialists isn't so hot either.

Jeff Gordon has always been pretty dominate at Sears Point, was unfortunate so many transmissions problems occurred especially for the Hendrick cars.

Fortunately I'm a big Stewart fan so it all worked out. Cool place to get your first win for the season, but it a bummer it's so late ...

-

They were going to build the track in a field outside my neighborhood which would have been convenient as I could walk to the track to avoid traffic ... was hoping they'd include some sort of road course (infield perhaps) or a drag strip (1/8 would suffice) so I wouldn't have to drive nearly 2 hours to get to Pacific Raceways.

You'd know where I'd be on weekends ...

So, this'll only be a couple of years from now. Let's hope all of us are still around here on SN.
