i went to start my car and it scared the **** outta me.. its sounded so horrible and nasty.. so i cranked it again.. and it did the same thing.. i waited a couple of seconds and tried again and it started.. neone ever have this happen?? any ideas?
hopefully not bc i dont want to replace one of those!! is it just a gear or something in the starter??I think someone else suggested this, and I agree with it too. It is the quick and dirty way to see what is up.luckythirteen13 said:take the belt off and start it up. if the sound goes away, its the belt. i have the same problem except i know its my belt slipping. going to the parts store tonight for a new belt. i dont even have any seized pulleys and it still makes the noise
