I needed something to control my fan and this Flex-a-lite kit looks good, I was just wondering if this kit is just plug and play or if a relay is also needed?

I almost forgot, would this work with twin fans?

Thanks guys

Part# 31147-Adj. Temp Sensor
Turns fan on/off at the desired temperature. Dial-adjustable 1800-2400F. Gives the freedom to set one temperature for occasional high-demand use, then reset for highway or day-to-day driving.

don't mess with those cheap ones at the parts store like the hayden or that flex-a-lite one. just get a DC controller and be done with it. don't get in a hurry, as it will take a couple of weeks to get it.

Just messin'. If I didn't like how WELL my Proform controls the coolant temp, I would buy it off you. But I see no need right now for one.

2002 White GT - the kit that 89sleeper has is hands down the finest temp. control kit for a fan you can buy. I run one on my dual fans - WAY more effective than relays/switches - even those with adjustable temps like you're considering. What you're looking at isn't even in the same league as the variable speed unit that 89sleeper has.

You can learn more about it at www.dccontrol.com.

Wow seems like the dccontrol is the best, and the best is always going to cost $$. I might as well bite the bullet now and not regret later, right?

89sleeper I pm'd you.

Well, there is one way to spend more than buying the best - that's to buy a set up that's inferior, that you end up not liking, and then having to buy the best also. You're doing the right thing - just buy the best the first time - you won't have to re-do it.
