Quit Jiffy lube, im sick of working there for barely enough money to put gas in my car and being embarassed when they always screw peoples cars up. Its a ghetto place to work and they finally pissed me off pretty good. Saying things like "since youre such a piece of **** you can have a 45 min lunch" thats just one of the things. jiffy lube can bob n weave.

The other two jobs I've had will give good recommendations. One was a deli, where I served food, prepared food, and cleaned up, etc. And the other was a "sanitation engineer" at a gas station/garage. lol

Looking for an auto detailing job or a job at a tire store or anything like that. Doesn't matter to me too much, as long as its not Jiffy lube.

Thanks for lookin around

Sorry to hear that, but sounds like you are making the right choice, besides Jiffy Lube ain't really that dream job everyone talks about. If I were you I would maybe look at a body shop or maybe like Discount Tire or Les Schwab.

If worse comes to worse you can always become a man whore ... lol

I'd just start applying at local shops, Les Scwab would be a great choice.

ive heard les schwabs has the best benefits around, everyone i talk to about schwab says they would have liked to work there because the benefits alone are worth the work you do.

I would say if you can handle a very competitive work place and a tire store is where you want to work, Les Schwab is the only game in the northwest worth checking out (my opinion). I have worked for them several years and recently made the transition to assistant manager (a bigger deal in our world than it may sound...definitely not like McD's), and this company has taken care of me every step of the way. I would reccomend checking out the website and stopping in to talk to the manager of the nearest store to you. It may put things into a whole new perspective for you when you realize what we get as employees. Just remember, VERY COMPETITIVE (high stress) work area. Anyway, enough of the sales pitch, good luck whatever you do.

By the way, nice car. I had a 98 bright atlantic blue GT convertible...white top, white leather, 5speed. It was 1 of 37 and had a whopping 3800 miles on it when I sold it in late 02.

Sorry for the tread jacking

I am not trying to be a dick but...... Just my 2 cents.
How about working part time and getting a grant and going to a Tech school like Renton Votech. learn a trade and get a real ****ing job that pays more than min. wage.

There are grants you can get that will pay for all your classes as long as you work part time no more than 35 hrs a week.
You could take the Ford program at Renton Tech or body and paint or there are tons of programs out there and some will find you a job.

Don't be a slave all your life working min. wage jobs.
Go to school so you can get a good job and buy a BRAND NEW MUSTANG
