Hey guys whats going on!
I just bought my first stang im 17 so its 1989 2.3 HATCH!
I thought it was a steal at 750 with 48,000 miles and only a minor oil leak and needed a new ignition switch both fixed for only 34.99

Anyways as i said im 17 so i could not get a nicer 5.0 the insurance would be 390 a month which there is no way i can afford that so i went with the 2.3 still 270 a month but i can make it by paying that.

So anyway getting to the point!!
I love the car and it move nice and quick.
But i want to make it a lil faster, I'm not looking to be a ricer
or go out and drag with it i just want more power while im driving.
I know theres 88hp stock.
I am shooting for about 150hp
whats the best way to do this easily and on a budget.
I already plan on putting a better intake in which could someone
tell me were i could find one for a 2.3 and how many ponys that would give me?

thank you for your help =]]]]

yeah im sure...

It was family owned since 89 and the old lady that had it drove like once a every 2weeks
so he said after about 2000 it was only at 38,000 then he got it from her and he put 10000 on it...

and well that sux...
Are there any performance part websites for the 2.3?

:OT: I know your 17 but why is your insurance so high? I am 28 but my premium cost on the car in my sig is only $660 for 6/mo with premium insurance through Progressive:nice:.

these units generally either1 or 2 things
1.that the engine temp is lower that what it actually is so more fuel is inserted(use to do this with a volume control knob from radio shack when i ran buick grand nationals)
2.that the throtle is open farther than it is to do the same as above
