need directions,steps,help, on how to drill trunk lock on fiberglass decklid?

I am replacing my decklid with a fiberglass and was looking for pics and pointers for drilling out the decklid or can i use a remote trunk latch and shave the trunk lock off completely? Can i just bolt the lock mechanism to the inside and run the remote latch to it to open the trunk or does the remote latch require the cylinder and trunk lock extension? i would prefer to shave it and use the remote latch.

or use an electric popper if that would be easier. i know you can get a universal trunk popper for like 25 dollars.

the remote assembly opperates off the latch mechanism, not the cylinder, so you can basically leave the cylinder off and just use the latch.

Where'd you get your fiberglass trunk, and how is the fit and finish?

i bought it off a guy on ebay, the trunk lid fits good but one of the extensions is going to need some work.
