Hey, my car (1994 GT) is at the shop right now getting 3.73s put in, but theres a problem. The guy says the clip in the middle doesn't wan tto come out. He says they should come out with just a tap, but theres something about not enough room so he can't get it out. He took out the ABS and rotors.

If anyone got an idea or thinks what can help, anything please feel free to reply and tell me, thanks alot!

I think that if he cant get as far as taking the S clip out of the differential, he shouldnt be doing your gears. And if he means the c-clips that hold the axles in, all you have to do is push the axles inwards towards the differential and you take the clips off with a needle nose pliers. Both things should be fairly easy.

if you look at the sticky at the top of the forum their should be a how-to gear install. I dont think the guy that was doing your gears knew what he was doing.

yea, one of the first things you have to know for a gear install is to soak the abs sensors the night before so they come out like butter. but seeing as how u had it done in a shop he might not have wanted to break them.

when u asked did u mean he's going to take out the abs?

oh well, it's done, nm, hope u like the gears

Thanks everyone for your help and advice couldn't of asked for more.

Can't enjoy the gears yet not in

One more thing is this the "ABS Sensor" thing that was giving him trouble:

So I'm geussing soak them in PB Blaster the night before? Are they reachable without having to pull the brake pads and all off?

Thanks guys great help!
