I have a 87 5.0..still speed density...

The problem is that a month ago the car died on me....replaced the ignition module and it worked for a couple weeks had the timing set a 10 deg base....and when it got warm when I stomped on any it sounded like burping and poping....then it started getting worse over a few days and then today just died again and wont restart..

let me know what ya'll think

thanks

Have you confirmed that you are missing spark only?
Some folks will chime in that they dont like plats, but I dont see them causing your issue if they worked fine before (I ran plats in a 5.0L for a bit at one time).

Running through Jrichker's no-start checklist will get you going.

Good luck.

It's gonna be very hard for someone from a keyboard to diagnose the issue. How did you make out while going through Jrichker's list?

Good luck.
