Need help fast please!

Hello I have a 96 GT and I washed the engine off a couple of months ago and it never ran right since. I first i thought it was water in the plugs so i got new ones, it ran better after that but it still had like a miss at the 15000-21000 RPM with the gas most of the way down, but if a i was easy on the gas it wouldnt do it. Now after changing wires, plugs,coils and fuel filter i still have the same problem. What could it be?

Try checking to see if you have any codes stored, sometimes you can have a code but not have the cel come on.

I think the problem is that you're over-revving your engine.

get a can of wire dryer and soak the entire engine compartment ...let sit for the night try and see if its ok,repeat if needed
