before the rtv dries, do i go throught the lower intake sequence one time only (while torqing to 24 ft lbs) or do i go through it until all the bolts are torqued evenly?
You might also want to go through and re-torque the lower after running the engine to operating temperature. This is a somewhat common problem on these since the intake is aluminum.
I retorqued mine a total of 3 or 4 times till there wasn't any variances in all the bolts. I wanted to make sure that the pressure was even because I didn't want a bad seal and create a nice oil/water milkshake.

thanks for the help guys, i did use that torque sequence JR, but i just ended up going throught the sequence about 15-20 times (slight exaggeration) until none of the bolts moved anymore. i've done the lower about five times total now by the book but part of me thought there was a "secret trick" i was missing at the time. since then i've taken my meds thanks for all the input though!:SNSign:
how do you retorque all the bolts some are under the upper do you have to take that off? i didnt do this during my rebuild and now im have cooling issues
