Need help identifying trick flow heads

Picked up these heads that the previous owner had the trick flow engraving on the side removed. I have been able to call in to trick flow and ask about them. They are old confirmed trick flow but old enough that they don't have records of them. My main question is about the machine work they seem to have had. The rocker mount area looks different from anything else I've seen from them. Any knowledge on them would be appreciated

Kind of looks like they were machined to accommodate pedestal mount rockers...why one would do that... Couldn't say
