Need help locating a gasket

Ah yes. Probably not enough fluid in it last time. Had it happen to me. I bought a Ratech bearing kit from Summit and had some 3.73's installed for cheap...well worth it to do it all at once.

Good news that you'll be cruising in it tonight!

Hopefully if the bearings come in by 1:00 I will go home in it. I Already have the FRPP 3:73s :nice: If my ring and pinion are F'ed, I may go to 4:10s

Final Result

It was the rear bearings without a doubt. The differential unit and the ring/pinion gears are unharmed (thankfully).

The bearing raceways were pitted and heavily damaged from the bearings. I'd be willing to bet that if I was not as in-tune with my car or just ignored it, that the bearings would have torn themselves apart and the damage would have been far worse than what it was.

I wish I had gotten a pic of the damage, my raceways were marked with similar damage to the following image:

They were kind enough to inspect the wheel bearings as well at no charge :flag:

Wow, those bearings certainly were on the fast track to deadsville. I'm glad you got if diagnosed & repaired when you did!!
