GET FULL SUB FRAME CONNECTORS #1.....then gears...nice shifter.....cold air kit......what the other guy said.....electric fan......MSD....new plug wires.......UCA's...LCA's.....Bilstein shocks....H&R springs..
..strut tower brace.....better struts......

My red GT ('91) ran 13.42 (nothing great) with only:

26X10 ET Drag Slicks
73 C&L MAF
Underdrives
Gutted cats & 2 chamber flowmasters w/ dumps
Electric fan
Hurst shifter

Didn't get a chance to throw in any 3.73s before I sold it but would recomend those and subframe connectors

I agree, but exhaust would be high on the list, especially headers.
 
4.10 gears and a stall for first mod. after exhaust

cold airs are for looks usually

just do your full exhaust a stall 4.10s
pulleys
cobra intake
Go to autozone and tell them you need heads for a 98 explorer ;)
put those on.
you will need MAC or BBK long tubes to work with these heads, or the any gt40P specific shorties
BFGs NITTOS or ET STREETS

enjoy the massive torque wave your car will have


all thee boltons should be found locally on forums.
h pipes usually go for 50-75

intake 300

this setup will easily be a very low 13 second car. very consistant, great driveablity with stock cam. These heads actually improve gas mileage. the stall doesnt, but you will love it.
