Need help please (bad ticking sound)

It started slow about a month ago at no given time I would hear this clicking sound coming from the middle of the car (tranny was my guess) Well, hear in the last day or 2 it has gotten bad. It does it when I release the clutch, on deaccleration and acceleration the only time it doesn't do it is when I'm sitting still. It's a t56 tremec tranny that was installed around two years ago by the previous owner. I drained the fluid today and there was no metal in the fluid so now I'm wondering if there isn't something floating around hitting the flywheel. I thought there would be a cover I could take off and see the flywheel and clutch but i dont see one. Please help. Thanks fellas

Just a thought.... you can remove that Alum cover where the clutch cable goes in...that would give you a look/see with a mirror and a Mag light?

Check the throwout bearing. My car sounded like a diesel when the TO bearing went south.

Are you 100% it is not an exhaust leak? My old truck had one that I though for the longest time was related to the drivetrain.

i think either throw out bearing or exhaust leak...

I wouldn'y think an exhaust leak would make such a bad rattle and clicking sound. I'm going to check my u joints then go from there

i am having the same problem with my car, when i accelerate i hear a ticking clicking sound coming from the under the car, it does it bad when i accelerate, a little when i down shift, a tiny bit when im in neutral and braking, and not at all at idle, did you figure out what it was? it would help me alot, i am thinking u-joints, but please let me know, i have a 95 gt
