Need help quick : Installing fuel pump !

I found the tank lines to be a mofo compared to the connections at the motor...I had the disconnect tools to...the smaller line gave me a run for my money...I ended up taking a 2 small screwdrivers and sending it up the line some....look in there and you can see the 2 small metal tabs that are pushing down holding the line in place...get under them and lift a tad and it'll slide right off...

ok thanks. Good to know that it's not only me that had trouble with those 2. I will try with the 2 screwdrivers if I dont get it soon.

I have all these tools...like i said...the little one was a drag....do you have one of the small pick sets?? they have like 4 in the kit with 90 deg bends, a straight one etc?? they work sweet to snake in there to get under the little tangs...Good luck...Pisser ain't they... :D

I have the tools like the ones pictured (green and yellow ones) but they didnt work for ****. I ended up using the two screw driver method as well when I sawpped to my 190 lph. good luck

I believe the Green/Yellow are mostly for the 2 intake line sizes...one of those on the tank is a small one and neither of the above will get inside it to release it...the tank lines have tangs pressing down...the motor one are different for sure...

Slick...glad it worked out...i can honestly remember that line being the worst part on my 190 install..

Yes I've been done for about an hour and an half now. Everything is re-assembled. I didnt have trouble at all putting the filler neck back into place. Really it was only those 2 gas lines that gave me trouble.. I didnt even start the car to see if it works or not. I'll do it tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm going to install my HPM driveshaft loop, if everything goes to plan :D
