Need Help Removing Pilot Bering

2000 Mustang V6 5 Speed. The pilot bering will not come out, can you help?

Pack it full of white bread, then use your alignment tool as you drive the tool in the bearing will come out. Pack it full of white bread, then use your alignment tool as you drive the tool in the bearing will come out Or if you have a punch that is about the same size you can drive a punch in and the bearing will come out, the white bread will force it out

I haven't used the 'white bread' method before but I've done the same thing with a regular bar of soap. Same principle.

The 'best' way to get them out with with a slide hammer and hook. It doesn't take much if you work your way around as you slide it out.



It really only requires being "tapped" out with this tool although I have seen folks use it to make a mess.
