Need help with bearing removal ASAP

Buddy of mine used a long piece of pipe and inserted it at the other end and then used a 20lb sledge hammer. Works very nicely! just be carful though. I know this isnt the right way to do it. But at 3am its the best idea we had at the time.

If there's an Autozone near you, they should have a tool rental program (mine did). You pay upfront, but get all your money back when you return it. I rented their slide hammer and their axle bearing remover set. The removers are the cuff link style and the kit comes with three sizes of them. I used the smallest of the three, and it was super easy to remove the axle bearings....five whacks and they were out. I didn't even have to try very hard, just let the hammer's momentum do the work for you! Good luck.
