OK guys yeah i'm here again with another broken thing on my car. LOL. Anway i don't know what happened but now my brakes or whatever aren't aligning in the back so i can't fit the drum back on and my emergency brake got really weak. Anyone know the problem?? Here's a pic.
Go to autozone and ask for a rear brake rebuild kit. It comes with new springs and everything and its only about 5 bucks. I had the same thing happen. The piece that held the spring had broken.
Also with the E-brake. Remember that drum brakes have to be adjusted after they've been put back together in order to be tight. You can do by putting a screw driver in through the slot on the inside of the drum and rotating the teeth on that shaft in there manually or you can put the car in reverse and use the foot or e-brake to get the car to adust it automatically (this assumes that all is put back together correctly).
